Arizona state's annual fall workshop was held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church this year. This workshop is a way for all ringers and directors to "jump start" their programs for the coming year. Classes were provided for ringers and directors. Eighty-one people took advantage of the opportunity to improve their skills. Basic technique classes were available for the begining ringer and advanced classes included ensemble ringing and 4-in-hand. There were two music reading sessions - one for beginner/intermediate music and one for more advanced choirs. Some of the selections read in these sessions have been chosen for the Arizona Sub-area Spring Festival scheduled for April 25, 2009. Monica McGowan will be the clinician/director for that festival.
